In Response to The Black Lives Matter movement
The West Orange Arts Council (WOAC) serves as a platform to educate our community through artistic expression and engagement. We can empower our communities and change the landscape by inspiring new realities on the intersection of art, culture, and politics. The # Black Lives Matter movement affects all of us and we can change the way we see ourselves and one another through expressions of peace, dignity, justice and freedom.
The WOAC strives to enrich and enliven the quality of life of our residents through education and community outreach, arts programming and facility enhancement. We encourage our community to be a part of the change that you want to see in the world today and we invite all Artists and non-Artists to participate through creative expressions.
Please send us your poetry, artwork, photos or anything that expresses how you feel and how we can help to uplift our community, our country, and the world. We welcome your feedback. To be included in our next virtual exhibit, please send to firstname.lastname@example.org
In Response to the Covid-19
We hope that you and your families are safe and keeping positive during these challenging times. The West Orange Arts Council is here for you and while our doors may be closed to abate the spread of the coronavirus, we need to stay connected. Art, in its many forms, connects our community; it serves to enrich the physical, economic, social and cultural elements of our community but beyond that, it has healing powers that enrich our lives and enhance our emotional and spiritual well-being.
In the coming weeks, we will be creating more resources for our members and artists and we welcome your input. Stay safe. email: email@example.com
