Our mission is to cultivate, inspire and support the arts within our community.

Since 1998, the  West Orange Arts Council has received the support of the Township of West Orange Mayor Robert Parisi, and the Town Council enabling  us to cultivate, inspire and support the arts in West Orange. Area artists and community leaders remain the core of this all-volunteer organization that operates the West Orange Arts Center gallery and gift shop at 551 Valley Road, West Orange, NJ.

Support for West Orange Arts Council is provided in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts / Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts and administered by the Essex County Division of Cultural and Historic Affairs.

Thank you to our community partners

The West Orange arts council is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. As part of our mission of bringing art and people together, we believe in the inclusivity of all groups. It is our goal to provide transformative learning experiences for our audience so that they have a greater sense of self and the world around them.

The West Orange Arts Center offers enriching and innovative programs and events that make art accessible to everyone in our community. Public Programming inspires cultural and artistic enlightenment within our community and beyond its borders—including artist talks, lecture series, panel discussions, film screenings, and hands-on art-making events.

The support to bring these programs to special audiences is often gained through our annual fundraisers and Member events.
