Summer Lovin’ will be on view from July 22 through August 1, 2025, during gallery hours on Tuesdays and Fridays from 6–8 PM and by appointment. On Friday, July 25, the community is invited to a Meet the Artists Wine & Cheese Reception from 6–8 PM, featuring live 1970s music by guitarist Doug Gill to keep the vibe groovy.

From collage to crochet, acrylic to acid wash, come celebrate the spirit of the 1970s — peace signs, disco balls, bell bottoms, vinyl, and vibrant color. As West Orange honors teen idol David Cassidy with a historical marker event, WOAC artists draw inspiration from the music, fashion, and pop culture of the era for this fast, fun, and funky exhibition.

“Now more than ever Summer Lovin’ is a joyful reminder of what the arts bring to our lives—fun, connection, creativity, and cultural memory,” says WOAC Chair Patricia Mitrano. “We’re inviting our neighbors and town leaders to celebrate the arts, support local artists and sustain this creative hub.”

While visiting the West Orange Arts Center, don’t miss the Gift Shop, offering an array of art-inspired items crafted by local artists. The selection includes handmade jewelry, scarves, ceramics, paintings, cards, soaps, home décor, and more—perfect for finding one-of-a-kind treasures and gifts.

The West Orange Arts Council’s mission is to cultivate, inspire, and support the arts in West Orange. Area artists and community leaders remain the core of this all-volunteer organization that operates the West Orange Arts Center Gallery and Gift Shop at 551 Valley Road, West Orange, NJ.
