On September 30th, 2025, the Town Council of West Orange vote to cease its normal municipal contribution that subsidized our rent at the West Orange Arts Center located at 551 Valley Road, West Orange, NJ 07052, took effect. All funding support from the Township to support the West Orange Arts Center has been cut to zero. The West Orange Arts Center is managed by an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, the West Orange Arts Council, which facilitates the year-round functions, events, workshops, and exhibits at the West Orange Arts Center.
These Art and Cultural activities foster public engagement and cultivate, inspire, and support the advancement of the study and enrichment of the Visual Arts, Performing Arts, and Literary Arts in West Orange, NJ, and the surrounding areas. We are an anchor in the Valley Arts District and a creative home for hundreds of Artists, Families, Students, and Visitors. Maintaining this creative space allows the Arts to remain accessible for all and continue to be alive to flourish in the West Orange, NJ area and surrounding communities.
We wish to gain your moral and financial support with an appeal to you and/or your organization for donations to help us continue to grow our financial base, to strengthen our artistic supporting partnerships, and establish the West Orange Arts Center as a cultural beacon. Please make your donation for these considerations and to support the arts. We will be grateful for any amount possible so we may continue to provide yearlong dynamic exhibits, meaningful collaborations, student involvement, and important community connections that bring the diversity of people and those who enjoy engaging in the Arts.
