Inspired by the upcoming once-in-a-lifetime global soccer tournaments right here in our backyard, the West Orange Arts Council is presenting The Art of the Game, a fun, community-wide sports and art exhibit designed to bring people together across cultures, languages, and generations. Get ready for the World Cup by transforming a soccer ball into a work of art!
Come to the West Orange Arts Center on May 9th, 10th, 16th, 17th, 23rd, or 30th from 2 to 4 p.m. for this family-friendly activity! Whether you’re a soccer fan or a creative Artist, the West Orange Arts Center is the place to be in May!
We have 100 soccer balls donated by the NY Red Bulls! You are welcome to pick one up if needed (NO COST TO YOU) for your canvas. We’ll supply the balls and the paint/markers (while supplies last). Transform soccer balls into a one-of-a-kind works of art using paint, sculpture, mixed media, or any creative approach that inspires you. Whether your vision is serious, whimsical, abstract, cultural, bold, or playful, we would love to see your unique interpretation come to life. You bring the vision!

The finished pieces will be displayed across town throughout the months of June and July, and the community will have an opportunity to vote for their favorite soccer balls! So Who’s Game?!
