Sunday, April 12, 2026, was the opening reception in West Orange, NJ, where artists & the community attended the new art show called “eARTh – A Living Canvas”. This new art show was held at the West Orange Arts Council Gallery in the Valley Arts District of The Oranges, New Jersey.

The West Orange Arts Council wanted to increase awareness of Earth Day. A dynamic exhibition celebrating the beauty, power, and fragility of our planet. Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. It includes a wide range of special events conducted around the world.
This show is inspired by the idea that the Earth itself is a living, breathing work of art. From landscapes and natural elements to environmental justice, sustainability, and the human connection to nature, artists are encouraged to explore how we see, shape, and are shaped by the world around us. Whether your work reflects the serenity of nature, the urgency of climate awareness, or the harmony between humanity and the environment, your voice is part of this collective canvas.
The West Orange Arts Council is actively seeking community champions to help sustain and grow the arts in West Orange. Opportunities are available for businesses, organizations, and individual donors to support the West Orange Arts Center, sponsor programs, underwrite operations, or make a transformational gift.
